I follow my intuition when I paint, and my Light Codes & Color series goes way beyond capturing surface level beauty—it explores and honors vibrant color combinations that exist in nature, ultimately tapping into and alchemizing the shadow side or pain body, and blending it with consciousness and creativity.

For me, the joy of making art is rooted in transformation—taking my raw emotions, experiences,
and distilling them into a tangible form. This is an alchemical practice, one that allows emotions to be transmuted into beauty or meaning.
I was born a highly sensitive person with heightened empathy and intuition. This made me extremely sensitive to the hardships I faced growing up, but it also gave me access to what felt like magical realms that I knew to be true. I had a deep understanding that this abundant world was my truth.
From a very young age I turned to art and creativity, making pictures of the nature around me, animals, family members, and more, and this was like a shelter in the storm—a way to escape the harsh energies in my home or in the world around me. I learned that creativity brought out the highest version of myself—through color and art, I could instantly be transported from lower states of insecurity or fear into curiosity, wonder, and joy.
Convinced of these higher dimensions and the internal power we all possess, in my late-twenties I began to study Intuition Medicine as well as a Taoist healing art form called Chi Nei Tsang. For over two decades, I’ve explored the profound connection between color, intuition, and healing energy as both an artist and a Healing Arts practitioner. By combining both of these passions, I’ve witnessed how the colors found in nature reflect the energies we need to heal, thrive, and align with our higher selves.
Color meditations are a large part of my work. My healing practices have been intimately intertwined with my art and the subject of my paintings, which are a visual bridge to higher states of consciousness like wonder, curiosity and positivity. Collectors often excitedly report a growing connection with the artwork, and love seeing new things in the work, even after years.
My latest body of work goes way beyond capturing surface level beauty, ultimately tapping into and alchemizing the shadow side or pain body, and blending it with consciousness and creativity. And like the Surrealist masters of the past, I trust what comes through, without any control, and love to be surprised by what unfolds!

What materials do you use?
Some pieces are made using high pigment oil paints, applying multiple thin layers over a period of 1-4 months, which gives it a luminosity and ethereal quality. And some are made using acrylic and high flow mediums. They are on stretched canvas with wood bars, ready to hang, or frame.What is the theme of this series?
As with all of my work, this series is more than just beautiful art—it is a gateway to vibrant wellbeing.
